Great Place

This has got to be one of India's most striking hotels. Great location combined with its rich heritage makes it an outright winner. Located by the bay at Fort Kochi, with all rooms right at the water edge, one can simply sit on the bed or balcony & watch ferries transporting people across the various islands of Kochi, gaint cargo vessels making their way in and out of the port, fancy speed boats racing into the sea or tourists leisurely taking in the sights of this historic place from their boat rides. For heritage & architecture buffs, the hotel is an absolute must. The hotel derives its name from a boatyard it once was. Built in a mix of traditional Kerala architecture & European style, it has left a deep impact on me.
