I was one of the few privilaged air passengers to catch the first glimpse of BIA on 24 th May to catch my KF flight to Pune.Though my flight is at 6am I was there by4am to see the new terminal.definetly BIA did not disappoint me.The so called first green field airport is of 71000sq.mts,with 17 airobridges,50 check in counters and built with a cost of 2500 crores.A massive LOUIS VUITTON suit case greeted me in the entrance of terminal.The terminal is almost equilly devided into two-departure & arrival. A common entrance for both domestic & international is bifurcated in the first floor.There is almost miniature mall in the departures which includes coffee shops,restaurants,branded garment stores etc.It has a very huge parking which can accomidate 2500 cars and can handle the peak hour rush of 2733 passengers. The staff were really helpful to make us familiar with airport.The only shortcome of BIA is maintanance of toilets which are not ony insufficient but aiso not well maintain...

For a long time I had desired to visit Coorg. I got a chance this month June 2008. I found what I thought would be an interesting place to stay - Rainforest retreat in Madikeri. I booked it for two night, paying a hefy sum. However, when I reached the place, it was a different story. The place is quite away from the city. There are no signboards on the way, except a small one which one can easily miss. The access road is in a mess. The place has no network. The reception which has a landline connection, is situated somewhere else. You have to park the car on the other side of the road. So, in an emergency, you cannot call for any help. My wife felt quite unsafe living there for the night, and we had to cancel the booking. There was no refund, even for the second night. Day trips to Baratang, Andaman Island ............. it was really an hectic trip and I suggest all the readers to just avoid the trip. The Trip started in the early morning of 4.00 am, For that we had woke up very early by 3.00 am and gotten ready to catch a Bus along with my wife and 2 Kids. At 5.30 am the Bus stopped near the Jirkatang Check Post from where the Jarawa Reserve forest starts. All the vehicles are supposed to move in convoy within the Jarawa reserve forest. Thereafter reach the Baratang Island at 8.00 am after catching a ferry to cross the Middle strait creek. There we were told to sit in the passenger shed. There we were served with the breakfast pack. The breakfast was packed in newspapers and given to us. Truly speaking, we were unable to eat the food. There was no good toilet in an around the place, the one which is available near the jett...
