(Goa)

Indo-Portuguese Fusion
What is it about this place that makes it seem like you can go wild here. Why? Let's talk of the Gods; even the Gods behave differently here. Don't believe it? Check the Shiva idol at any temple in Goa, see what we mean, he sports a beard! Have you seen this anywhere else in India?
That's Goa for you, the one destination where you can let your hair down, where there are no rules, barring a few of course. Where the beaches are sun kissed dotted with loungers just like any other international destination; where good food and good booze are for the offering everywhere; where people will shut shops at lunch time and head home for their siesta (afternoon nap) no matter what season. One thing that Goa definitely doesn't have is the snob culture; you can get off your scooter, in a pair of shorts and enter the finest of five stars without an eyebrow being raised. And yes, there is no rat race here but there are pressures, the normal stress, the frowns, and yet you will always see a Goan smiling. Goans have learned to live a good life. That's what Goa offers its tourists too.

Entertainment
To catch the latest Hollywood flick to Inox in Panaji. Goa also has a very rich tiatar (theatre) circuit though most plays here are in Marathi or Konkani. That apart, entertainment in Goa is all about music, and drinking. There's Zanzibar the beach shack on Baga which is very close to Tito's that's started to look good. Titos and Mambo's are of course on everyone list to party at, but off late the crowds here are not that happening. In Anjuna, there's Paradiso, where one can swing into the early hours with some great rave music.
Nightlife
Club Caba's dance floor on a hill, is the best place to party in they have some or the other specials on every night and free entries depend on the theme, like the bikini party, where everyone dressed in a bikini gets in free! Men included. Vanilla Lounge in Candolim, has turned into a new hot spot, check it out. On the rocks and Ozone are two rocking places during season, they have dancers, singers and performers down from various parts of the world to entertain their guests Most restaurants would have some or the other live music playing right through the night, you can also find yourself a place to karaoke.
