This is a settlement across the river, north of Hampi. Hop across the Tungabhadra to Anegundi in a coracle that you catch from near the Virupaksha Temple. Autos and cycles are available once you get across, and it?s roughly a 3-km walk after you cross the river. You can also drive to Anegundi via Hospet. Anegundi was also the capital of Vijayanagara at some point in time, but not much remains of interest. You can visit the Hanuman Temple there, which is at the top of a hill with steps leading up. The view from there is worth the climb.
