Cantonment Hill Station

The town takes its name from the village of Kasauli which has since merged with the fringes of the town. Today's Kasauli is still not large and is shaped somewhat like an erratic figure of H. The town seems to live in a delightful time warp that belongs to a century now gone. Its narrow roads wander up and down the hillside and offer some of the finest views of the area. At the foot of the hills pours the spread of the vast Gangetic plains and unfolds a carpet of bright lights that shine like little sequins through the night.

To See & Do
Monkey Point lies at the end of the Kasauli spur. This has a temple dedicated to Bhagwan Hanuman and has excellent views. TheUpper and Lower Malls have numerous examples of colonial architecture while the cobbled bazaar has a quaint charm of its own. The Central Research Institute is where anti-rabies serum is made and is one of the oldest in the country. The Kasauli Club is located on the Upper Mall. This has been rebuilt after a fire destroyed this a few years back.
