Where to Eat
Mangalorean food is a tasty mix of spicy curries flavoured generously with grated coconut. Sana idlis fermented in toddy, kori roti (a dry sort of dosa) and of course masala dosas from neighbouring Udupi are the region's specialties.

The Gallery (Taj Manarjun Hotel, Old Port Road) serves Indian, continental and Chinese cuisines. The delicious spread is worth the money. Hotel Woodlands ((Bunts Hostel Road) is great for south Indian, vegetarian meals. A close second is Pai Caf?KS Rao Road).

At Taichen Chinese Restaurant you can feast on chilli chicken and prawns. You can call them for reservations on 441411.

Moti Mahal Hotel (Falnir Road), Dhanyavad (intersection of Lighthouse Hill Road and KS Rao Road) and Janatha Deluxe (Hotel Shaan Plaza, KS Rao Road) are other veggie restaurants.
