A holiday in Sattal a group of seven interconnected lakes set against a backdrop of oak and pine trees beyond which tower the Himalayas is about bonding with your family, combined with a grand taste of wildlife and adventure. There are two ways of getting the full flavour of Sattal: either by carrying your own tents and equipment and setting up camp by the lakes, or by staying at one of the organised campsites. Get adventurous as the screeching alarm call of deer, birds and monkeys bring the forests to a momentary freeze.

Adventure
If you have your boots on, then the only way to go is up the hills, rock-climbing or just trekking along the trails. Accompanied by experienced mountaineers and carrying carabiners, rappelling and river-crossing are other heady choices.
